But questions were asked in parliament and our environment minister made a strong statement that she did not tolerate any more mistakes. With many other scientists we have written a open letter to parliament stating the importance of IPCC and the rigour of its procedures. However, there should be an adequate mechanism to deal with errors on the IPCC website. Transparency on processes should be increased. I have enclosed our letter, for your information. it has been well received and was covered by many newspapers and the 8-o'clock news. I hope that it helps to balance the discussion and to bring thrust back into the IPCC process.
