Удивительно смотреть, как с удовольствием разбирающий чужую украденную переписку (и при этом присочиняющий) Heartland Institute проповедует высокие моральные ценности, когда крадут их собственные документы: “But honest disagreement should never be used to justify the criminal acts and fraud that occurred in the past 24 hours. As a matter of common decency and journalistic ethics, we ask everyone in the climate change debate to sit back and think about what just happened.” И ведь хорошие, правильные слова используют. Криминальный акт. Правила приличия. Журналистская этика. Лицемерие у ребят просто поразительное.

А теперь и климатскептик-гейт

Теперь украли документы из Heartland Institute. Ирония здесь в том, что два года назад, во время кражи электронной почты университета Восточной Англии, Heartland Institute раздувал скандал вокруг "заговора климатологов", так что создается столь любимая американским народом ситуация "вор у вора шапку украл".

Лично меня очень позабавил их план на текущий год: "глушить" выступления известных климатологов в прессе и "культивировать" Андрю Ревкина из Нью Йорк Таймс.

Heartland plays an important role in climate communications, especially through our in-house experts (e.g., Taylor) through his Forbes blog and related high profile outlets, our conferences, and through coordination with external networks (such as WUWT and other groups capable of rapidly mobilizing responses to new scientific findings, news stories, or unfavorable blog posts).
Efforts at places such as Forbes are especially important now that they have begun to allow highprofile climate scientists (such as Gleick) to post warmist science essays that counter our own. This influential audience has usually been reliably anti-climate and it is important to keep opposing voices out. Efforts might also include cultivating more neutral voices with big audiences (such as Revkin at DotEarth/NYTimes, who has a well-known antipathy for some of the more extreme AGW communicators such as Rornm, Trenberth, and Hansen) or Curry (who has become popular with our supporters). We have also pledged to help raise around $90,000 in 2012 for Anthony Watts to help him create a new website to track temperature station data.

Journal editor steps down for publishing under-reviewed paper critical of climate change

Editor Wolfgang Wagner says he's resigning after his publication, Remote Sensing Journal, printed a controversial article on climate change modeling that should not have passed the peer-review process. The article, written by American scientists Roy Spencer and William Braswell, claimed that temperature predictions from climate models were inflated.

Библия про изменения климата

Наткнулся на замечательную книгу профессора теологии, рассказывающую о том, как правильно по-христиански управлять страной, и сразу полез смотреть, что Библия говорит про изменения климата. Оказывается, немало.
1. Мог ли Бог сделать сделать планету такой хрупкой, что человек способен изменить ее климат? Мог ли Бог быть плохим архитектором? Нет: "И увидел Бог все, что Он создал, и вот, хорошо весьма" (Бытие 1:31). (переключаюсь на английский в цитировании: тяжело)
2. Бог обещал Ною сохранять стабильность океанов и сезонов: “Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, even though[a] every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done. 22 As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” (Gen. 8:21-22)
3. Потеплисты-алармисты не дают нам возблагодарить Господа за дар дешевой энергии угля: "For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving" (1 Tim. 4:4)

Дальше др. Грудем подробно рассказывает о том, как ученые обманывают народ. Там много еще чего - и чем электромобили плохи, и почему лучше залезть в долги, снижая налоги, чем применяя стимулус. Возвращаясь к климату, насколько я понимаю, примерно таких взглядов придерживаются все респобликанские кандидаты на пост президента, кроме Митта Ромни.

PS: И Джона Хантсмана: "I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy"
