Climategate: the end of another investigation
Закончилось уже третье официальное расследование климатгейта. Результат тот же: обвиняемые в подтасовке данных ученые полностью оправданы, а обвинения признаны ложными.

я вроде гадкого не писал, хотя и был здорово не согласен, но пока мы видим, что "замечательная работа ученых" включала ... included detailed descriptions of uncertainties and appropriate caveats. We also welcome the confirmation that, although some have accused CRU of trying to mislead, the Unit’s published research emphasises the late 20th Century discrepancy between tree-based proxy reconstructions of temperature and instrumental observations. - то есть ни о какой четкой и однозначной картине речи не идет.

рад, что камень был не в мой огород - не люблю ссориться с друзьями :)
неточности и нестыковки признак не науки, а гипотезы, которая требует значительных доработок прежде чем станет научной теорией, т.к. многие гипотезы наукой отметаются.
да, в научной работе есть этап неточностей, но такой этап есть во многих сферах, которые к науке самым что ни на есть косвенным образом.
